Materials & Care
Fiber content and care instructions are listed on each individual product page, because they differ by product. This page explains how to read them, and how to keep a personalized piece looking the way it did when it arrived.
Where the details for your item live
- Fiber content – shown on the product page for that specific item.
- Care instructions – washing, drying and pressing guidance for that specific item.
- Size and fit – garment measurements on the product page, plus our Size Guide.
We don’t publish one material claim across the whole catalog, because our products aren’t all made the same way. If the product page doesn’t answer your question, ask us before you wash – we would rather answer first than replace a piece afterward.
General care for personalized apparel
The instructions on the product page always take priority. Where they leave room for judgment, these habits protect embroidery and printed areas:
- Wash inside out. This shields personalized areas from rubbing against other garments.
- Cold water, gentle cycle. Heat is the main cause of shrinkage and of print edges lifting.
- Skip fabric softener on embroidery. It coats the thread and dulls the finish over time.
- Tumble dry low, or lay flat. High heat is harder on a personalized area than on the base fabric.
- Press around, not over. If a piece needs ironing, iron the surrounding fabric and avoid direct contact with embroidery or print.
- Wash like with like. Zippers and hook-and-loop closures in the same load are what usually snags a knit.
Signs, wall art and keepsakes
Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid household cleaners, standing water and prolonged direct sunlight, which fades finishes over time.
Before the first wear
We recommend washing apparel once before first wear, following the care instructions on that product page.
What good care can and can’t do
Careful washing keeps colors and personalized areas looking their best, and it makes a piece last long enough to be handed down. It won’t undo a hot dryer cycle, and no care routine makes a made-to-order piece a different size – so if you’re between sizes, size up.
If something isn’t right
If a piece arrives damaged or defective, or the personalization doesn’t match your order, send your order number and a photo through our contact page and we will make it right.
Non-personalized items can be returned within 30 days. Personalized items are made to order, which limits returns – see our Refund Policy for the full terms.
